Goodyear official tyre partner for Land Rover Experience Tour Peru

Having begun on 14 October, Goodyear’s Wrangler DuraTrac tyres will be tested to the limit during the Land Rover Experience Tour, which lasts until 9 November. During the four-week expedition, a selection of international participants will drive new Land Rover Discovery SUVs fitted with Wrangler DuraTrac tyres through a wide variety of road conditions.

The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac has been developed to cope with the toughest terrains, including sand dunes, sharp edged gravel, riverbeds and high angle mountain roads, all of which the participants will encounter during their adventures. For the off-road parts, drivers will be able to benefit from Goodyear’s TractiveGroove Technology, enhancing traction on mud and snow. Furthermore, the self-cleaning shoulder blocks will rapidly evacuate gravel, dirt and mud. When driving on-road, highly angled centre tread blocks will improve the vehicle’s traction and lateral stability, while reducing road noise.

“Goodyear can rely on an outstanding track record of designing and manufacturing award-winning 4×4 tyres. Our relationship goes back to the 70s, when Goodyear was fitted to the first Range Rover, and it continues with the development of next-generation tyres today. Needless to say, we are excited to have Goodyear on board as our exclusive tyre partner for the 2017 Land Rover Experience Tour,” comments Christian Uhrig, head of marketing communications from Jaguar Land Rover Germany.

“We are extremely happy to provide our Wrangler DuraTrac tires for the Land Rover Experience Tour in Peru. It underlines once again the long-lasting partnership Goodyear has with Land Rover and our know-how when it comes to designing and manufacturing award winning 4×4 tyres,” said Mike Rytokoski, chief marketing officer Europe at Goodyear. “Supplying equipment to Land Rover has been a long-lasting success, demonstrated by our latest OE homologations on the Land Rover Discovery and the Range Rover Velar.”
