Pirelli Scorpion range offers a fit for variety of 4×4 applications

Pirelli’s range of 4×4 tyres is designed to cater to new models from a variety of prestige manufacturers, especially in its Scorpion range. They deliver sports performance on the road, while offering some off-road conditions, with increased grip, braking safety, and performance at high speed. Like many Pirelli tyres, the SUV tyre range was developed in close collaboration with the best-known premium car manufacturers in sizes between 15 and 22-inches. Pirelli is original equipment on 4×4 vehicles like the Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q7, Land Rover Discovery, Tesla Model X and the Maserati Levante.

Pirelli’s Scorpion range includes the Scorpion Verde, Scorpion Verde All Season, Scorpion Winter, Scorpion ATR, Scorpion Ice and Snow, and finally, the Scorpion Zero. Each tyre is designed for different uses; the Scorpion Verde for example is designed for large SUVs and utilises innovative materials to reduce rolling resistance and therefore fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The Scorpion Verde All Season is designed to provide optimum performance in both summer and winter conditions.

In more specialist fitments Pirelli states that the Scorpion Winter for the colder months represents a technological breakthrough in terms of overall performance and has been acclaimed as being the best in its class on snow, certified with the TÜV mark, combining excellent braking and handling in all conditions with lower noise and rolling resistance.

The Scorpion ATR can be used on an abundance of surfaces, and this makes it extremely versatile in all situations. Designed for 50 per cent off-road use it is tenacious and reliable, while for the remaining 50 per cent on-road use it provides comfort, excellent traction and resistance to wear.

The Scorpion Ice and Snow combines safety and comfort for the harshest of conditions and there are a select number of fitments available.

The Scorpion Zero, a sports performance tyre with a Z-profile tread pattern that provides increased grip making it safe for driving off-road.

Pirelli also offers the P Zero SUV, designed for higher rim sizes and offers maximum performance on the road.
