Banner Batteries advocate celebrates 40 years with transit wrap

A long-term advocate of Banner’s automotive battery product range and Groupauto member, ECC Motor Factors of West Yorkshire, has recently celebrated its 40th trading anniversary. And having earlier this year added a new Ford Transit Courier to its delivery vehicle fleet, co-branded and featuring the striking and bold Banner livery, Banner was again on hand to share in ECC’s celebrations.

In addition to ECC offering customers the chance to win prizes totalling over £3000, the Elland-based motor factor that covers the Huddersfield, Halifax, Brighouse and Calder Valley areas, presented local Overgate Hospice with a cheque for £200. Having collected £100 from garage customers, and as regularly donators to the hospice, ECC agreed to match this amount themselves.

Commenting on the 40th anniversary celebrations, ECC’s founder and director, Nev Sutcliffe said: “We are delighted to have achieved such a great milestone, during which time we have helped keep the wheels of Calderdale on the move. I would like to thank all of our customers for their involvement, and many of our suppliers who agreed to donate some of the prizes on offer. It was also a great delight to continue our support of Overgate Hospice, which is a really great cause.”

Established in 1977, Elland-based ECC Motor Factors has a workforce that is currently 75 per cent female – contradicting industry stereotypes.
