Autosupplies inaugural golf day a success

More than 30 players took part in the four ball stableford tournament

Autosupplies Chesterfield has held its first ever supplier and customer golf day at South Chesterfield Golf Club.

More than 30 players took part in the four ball stableford tournament with an array of trophies for nearest the pin and longest drive given out to participants, along with winning team and raffle prizes.

Despite a torrential rain storm mid-afternoon, all teams made it round the well-established but challenging Par 70, 18-hole golf course in Derbyshire. The winning team was the Lechler team comprising Mark Hardcastle, Tony Edwards, John Borck and Steve Wood.

Sponsors of the event included: Autosupplies, Banner Batteries, FPS, Gates, J-Tape, Klarius Lechler, Mintex, Mirka, Sogefi, Tennants UK, Upol and WAI.

Organised by Autosupplies area sales manager Graham Eansworth and office manager Sara Bailey, the event was a resounding success. Managing director, David Clarke said: We would like to thank all the suppliers that took part and sponsored the event but also the many customers that attended. It was a very fun but extremely competitive event and brought our components and paint & refinish customers and suppliers together.

Now employing more than 90 members of staff and managing a fleet of more than 50 delivery vehicles, the motor factor is one of the most prominent businesses in the Chesterfield area.
