Birla increasing carbon black prices

Birla Carbon has announced it is increasing carbon black prices in Europe and Africa by €70/MT, net of price monthly variation.

The increase goes into effect July 1, 2017 and is necessary to address a combination of conditions, including market environment, raw material costs, and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements, Birla said.

The company will also use the funds for continued reinvestment in its carbon black plants.
