Bridgestone rededicates US data centre

After two years and an investment of US$17.3 million, Bridgestone Americas’ core information technology systems are now housed under the one roof. The tyre maker officially rededicated its Akron Data Center yesterday.

The 10,000-square foot (930-square metre) Akron Data Center replaces a setup that involved the use of five locations, and it is home to 3,000 physical and virtual servers. Bringing the systems together is said to have simplified operations and improved reliability.                  sg
