Heuver modifies tyre categories and plans to introduce new brand

Heuver Tyrewholesale has introduced the MPT agro industry category for products that fit in-between traditional agricultural and OTR applications

Heuver Tyrewholesale has reorganised its large off-road tyre range, introducing an extra tyre category between OTR and agricultural tyres. The wholesaler said the new categorisation is a reaction to shifting user requirements and a wide range of tyre possibilities. The “MPT agro industry” selection applies to tyres that do not fit comfortably in the ‘agricultural’ or ‘OTR’ categories. Heuver said its new category will allow it to improve its range and level of service, while allowing customers to find the tyres they need faster than before.

“After intensive customer contact and a growing number of requests, our experts realised that customers were having difficulties trying to find a particular type of tyre,” states Bertus Heuver, director at Heuver Tyrewholesale. “We want to offer our customers the best possible support. We realised that it would be best to introduce a new category – in between the agricultural and OTR segments – rather than working with our existing structure. And we have adopted a simple name for this new category: MPT agro industry. This is a win-win situation for all parties. We are a total supplier and have created transparency by dividing our tyres into truck, agricultural, OTR and MPT agro industry segments. We will be promoting the new category as of April, when we will be introducing an exclusively imported brand to the European market: MRL.”

Enno Schottert, product manager agriculture, added: “Our challenge is to always offer a comprehensive range. And the most important thing is deciding which tyres are actually included into our segment. But you have to think out-of-the-box sometimes. And that’s why we considered a new category. Besides our existing segments, the new category gives us the opportunity to honour our customer guarantees by making things even easier for customers. They are able to find tyres a lot faster and we have been able to further expand our comprehensive range and service. Customers can conveniently place orders via our transparent ordering system. The new category features various sizes and profiles by our regular brands Aeolus, Barkley, Altura and Superking. All of them can be supplied from stock. This will also apply to the MRL as of April, which can be pre-ordered in March at a discounted price.”
