Close Brothers Motor Finance celebrates 25 years in Sheffield

Close Brothers Motor Finance is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Sheffield branch.

The motor finance firm, headquartered in Doncaster, opened its Sheffield branch in 1992, and has been one of the largest employers in Yorkshire region. Despite tough economic conditions over the years, the firm has continued its success in the region, working with over 2,076 dealers and helping to finance 65,000 cars worth nearly £440m pounds over the course of 25 years.

Following the success of its Sheffield and Doncaster offices, Close Brothers Motor Finance expanded the business, bringing the total number of offices to 13 across the UK. This has established them with one of the largest branch and on-the-road network of local account managers providing dealers with the support and guidance they need to make their business a success. Further presence by the company sees two offices in the Channel Islands, one in Jersey and Guernsey, as well as a division in the Republic of Ireland.

With the business having a strong Yorkshire heritage, it has many local longstanding dealers that they support with a specialist and bespoke offering. James Holland, owner of the Car and Bike Specialist based in Edmund Road in Sheffield, has been long-term client of Close Brothers Motor Finance since 2006.

Speaking of his relationship with Close Brothers Motor Finance, James Holland says: “Close Brothers Motor Finance has a strong reputation in the Yorkshire region, and for good reason – the support they have offered has been hugely beneficial to my business. Over the years, the service I have been given from my local account manager and the regular contact of familiar voice who understands my business inside-out has been key to our business success. Not only has the partnership been a profitable one, but has also proved fruitful in terms of trust and loyalty.”

Mark Wall, branch manager at Close Brothers Motor Finance in Sheffield, comments: “Our 25th anniversary is a significant landmark for the business and a testament to our progress and the development we are making across the network. Helping to ensure local dealers are supported and offering face-to-face time is a crucial part of our business. Through our strong local account management and accessible regional support we can help dealers with business development whilst using local knowledge to help cater to their customer’s specific vehicle and financing requirements.”
