Westlake start business in Malaysia
ZC Rubber made its debut in Malaysia through its Westlake Marketing Malaysia subsidiary on 14 November. Hangzhou ZhongCe Rubber, to give the company is more formal name, said it is offering consumers premium quality tyres at an affordable price.
Westlake Marketing aims to open 100 Westlake centres. By year-end, three Westlake centres are expected to start operations across Peninsular Malaysia.
The company said it aims to create the opportunity for consumers to experience reliable, good quality, high durability and value for money tyres: “Today’s launch marks a new milestone for all of us at Westlake Marketing Malaysia,” its managing director, Tan Heong Thong, said adding:
“We are also looking to launch more tyre ranges next year to meet the growing demands of the market. At Westlake Tyres, customer safety is our utmost priority and we will continuously innovate to ensure that our tyres are truly superior products to provide a seamless experience for our customers in Malaysia”
ZC Rubber shipped over 16 million consumer and commercial tyres as well as 35 million bicycle and motorcycle tyres to more than 160 markets and over five billion consumers vice president Ge Guorong said at the launch event.
