Grouptyre reports Tyres Online growth

Tyres Online, the website developed by Grouptyre in 2014 to help tyre retailers compete for online sales, has had an enthusiastic uptake by tyre retailers throughout the market place, by independent retailers as well as larger dealer groups and national retailers – according to Grouptyre.

Tyres Online is offered by Grouptyre to all retail partners in all channels, in order to help them develop and grow their online tyre business. And it “further complements Grouptyre’s comprehensive range of business support services to its customers”, according to the wholesaler.

With online shopping being a more and more integral part of people’s everyday lives, Tyres Online is described as a “natural progression” into this highly competitive sector of the market for the UK’s leading independent wholesaler.

Tyres Online features as a button on the retail partner’s website, and although it is not a full e-commerce website, it displays tyre availability and price, allowing the consumer to reserve stock and schedule a tyre for fitting, in the comfort of their home.  The whole system is fully automated when implemented, giving the retail partner satisfaction that they have access to the fastest growing sector of the market

Tyres Online is available to single or multi-branch networks and the programme is personalised to look, feel and fit with the retailer’s own website. Grouptyre points out that, with minimal set up costs, no hidden transaction fees and the creation of a professional looking and easy to navigate website, Tyres Online helps retailers “embrace the online market easily letting them offer that little bit more to their valued customers”.

“Tyres Online continues to be a great success”, says Paul Hollows, Grouptyre’s commercial director. “We’re working with local independents, dealer groups and national accounts to help them offer an all-round improved consumer experience in a notoriously competitive marketplace. Online retail consumers can have the reassurance that when they’ve reserved their tyre and booked their fitting location/slot, all they have to do is arrive on time at the destination selected and the tyre will be there waiting for them…”
