Hankook’s director of OE car tyres for Europe dies

Peter Großklaus

Hankook Tire extends its sympathies to the family of Peter Großklaus following his sudden and unexpected death on 5 August. Großklaus served as director of Hankook’s original equipment passenger car tyre business in Europe and had worked for the tyre maker since 2006.

“We bid farewell to a highly valued and liked colleague who, over a period of ten years, had a decisive influence upon our company, not only with his immense experience but also through his consistently optimistic attitude,” states Ho-Youl Pae, head of Hankook Tire Europe. “He saw his role as a personal passion rather than just a job, and this is something he not only passed on to colleagues and employees, but also to our customers. We mourn alongside his family and wish them the strength they need during this difficult time.”

Peter Großklaus began his tyre industry career in the early 1980s as a passenger car tyre development engineer. After serving in positions of responsibility in technology and marketing roles and a period of self-employment, he joined Hankook Tire Europe in 2006.
