First Stop’s ExxonMobil partnership makes network ‘Mobil 1 workshops’

First Stop has agreed a new association with synthetic motor oil brand ExxonMobil, which will position its network of independent garages as ‘Mobil 1 workshops’. This agreement will entitle First Stop branches to high profile sales promotions. A dedicated account manager will work with First Stop garages, aiming to help improve customer retention and the generation of new business through brand ambassadorship.

WP Group will provide First Stop with the opportunity of enhancing their outlet efficiency by offering equipment agreements on a full range of workshop equipment and bulk oil tanks. These will eliminate the need for drums and barrels thereby reducing costs to the business.

Steve Hannington, automotive lubricants manager of the WP Group, said: “I am delighted to work with First Stop on developing their range of customer services.

“The association between First Stop and Mobil has proven hugely successful in Germany and we are looking forward to emulating this success. Both Mobil and First Stop provide the highest quality products and customer service.”

First Stop’s retail business development manager Stuart Eagland expressed his delight with the association, as the network aims to expand whilst improving its offering to motorists.

“The ability to become Mobil 1 workshops adds a real element of prestige to the First Stop network, with the brand being synonymous with innovation and performance.

“This association allows us to offer more unique incentives for our customers which we feel will separate us from various competitors, while also providing an improved serviced to motorists, which we are always striving for.

“The start of the year has offered a great amount of encouragement to First Stop as a network, with new independent dealers coming on board and our presence across the UK expanding.

“Relationships like this with ExxonMobil can only enhance our offering and reputation in the industry, so we are naturally thrilled to be working with them.”
