Steve Parker leaving ETEL

European Tyre Enterprises Ltd (ETEL) CIO and commercial director, Steve Parker is to leave the company. Parker, who has been with the business for over 30 years (first at Stapleton’s and latterly at ETEL), is taking a break from the industry to “spend time with his family and pursue other interests”.

Kenji Murai, chief executive of ETEL, commented: “Steve informed us some months ago of his desire to take some time away from the industry. His experience and insight over many years has been incredibly valuable to the success of our business and we will obviously miss being able to draw on his expertise. However, we fully respect his decision and wish him well; he will always be welcome at ETEL House. It is with the warmest personal regards that we wish Steve every success in his new endeavours, one of which is expected to be a consultancy role with ETEL.”

Steve Parker said: “I have spent many enjoyable years with both Stapletons and ETEL and have mixed emotions about leaving. I feel sad to be leaving my colleagues whom I have worked alongside for many years, but am looking forward excitedly to what the future holds in store for me and exploring new challenges. I greatly appreciate the many opportunities and memories I’ve been fortunate to experience through my time at ETEL and thank Itochu and Ken for these. I wish ETEL only good fortune and success in their many years ahead.”

According to the company, Parker will phase out his involvement with ETEL, scaling back his role in the business over the coming “weeks and months”.
