Corrosion repair guide from ECP

Car parts distributor Euro Car Parts (ECP) has published a new 84-page Corrosion Repair Guide showcasing its industry-leading range of replacement parts for vehicles suffering from rust.

The range covers cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) from Austin, BMW, Citroen, Daewoo, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Rover, Seat, Skoda, Suzuki, Toyota, Vauxhall, VW and Volvo, including classics such as the original Mini, VW Transporter and Mk2 Golf.

The range is expanding quickly and notable parts added since the booklet went to print include full sills for the Ford Mondeo 2000-07 and Vauxhall Vectra 2002-08, front wheel arches for the Mercedes-Benz Vito 1996-2003 and rear wheel arches for the Toyota Yaris 1999-2005 and BMW 3 Series (E46) 1998-2005.

Bill Stimson, Trade Sales & Marketing Director at Euro Car Parts, said: “Bodyshops and restoration specialists know that by the time paintwork is bubbling or flaking-off there is usually a much larger rust problem underneath. The best solution is to remove it completely, which has traditionally meant cutting it out and reaching for the filler. From universal sheet steel to wheel arches and chassis sections for specific rust-prone vehicles, our corrosion repair parts are an increasingly popular and cost-effective alternative to fillers.

“As well as being a cleaner solution, precision die-stamped parts have the advantage of replacing metal with metal, instead of a compound. Simply drill out the old panel and weld in the replacement. All parts listed in our Corrosion Repair Guide are available for same or next day delivery. Ask for a free copy at your local Euro Car Parts branch.”
