Launch UK adds automatic transmission cleaner, fluid exchanger to range

Launch UK’s new CAT-501S automatic transmission cleaner and fluid exchanger

Launch UK has introduced a new automatic transmission cleaner and fluid exchanger, the CAT-501S, to its wide product range. The CAT-501S comes supplied with a comprehensive range of adapters, allowing connection to most automotive transmission units, including double clutch and CVT types.

After a period of use, typically 76,000km, the performance of synthetic fluid deteriorates, and continued use will affect the transmission unit. CAT-501S completes the flush and fluid exchange in 20 minutes for the transmission, torque converter and radiator. The machine uses load cell weighing technology and software to provide consistently reliable and accurate results, resulting in a near 100 per cent fluid exchange.

Once complete, the user is provided with a printout, and as the new synthetic fluid restores lubricating and friction coefficients back to their original specifications, a smoother gearshift will be noticeable.

Launch is also offering customers one year free access to its comprehensive database, including images of adapters to use, fitting locations, drain and level plugs, and tips regarding correct procedures.

Dave Richards, Launch UK managing director, said: “We are delighted to launch the CAT-501S. The product will sit alongside our current diagnostic offering and is in keeping with our aim to provide garages with cost-effective, easy to use and time saving solutions for daily workshop use.”

Launch will also present its full range of automotive diagnostic tools, air conditioning servicing equipment and aftermarket garage equipment, including the acclaimed x431 range of OE level diagnostic equipment and the CRP range, to the UK market at Automechanika Birmingham, from 7-9 June, 2016.
