e-jobsheet talks to Bridgestone Europe’s Siebel

The first e-jobsheet was processed and validated at the CV Show in Birmingham at the end of April 2016

System’s first job processed and validated direct from tablet

In what Cam International described as “a landmark moment for the commercial tyre service sector in Europe”, a fully digital jobsheet was completed between Bridgestone systems and the e-jobsheet digital tablet app – without a re-keying process required by office based administrators at either end.

Job sheet number 13509164 saw the passing of fleet, tyre and pattern data in conjunction with Bridgestone Europe’s Siebel system out to a e-jobsheet app. In turn, the resultant service work by the fitter saw the completed job’s “transactional” data passed back through TiDaeX and transferred successfully to its Siebel and NaVision systems, fully validating the job and creating an accurate invoice.

Michael Howling, back office manager solution business Bridgestone Europe, said: “This now sets the standard for the way a major contract holder like Bridgestone will want to work with tyre service providers and vice-versa. Importantly, it improves our ability to heighten operational service levels and present KPI data to our fleet customers. Whilst we will continue to refine and enhance our integration with e-jobsheet in the months ahead, this initial achievement removes the need for dealers to re-key data into our systems as we have received the data directly from the fitter’s tablet.

Steve Daly, director of CAM International, commented: “Jobsheet 13509164 may not mean very much to people but to us it marks a significant step in validating the considerable investment, work and co-operation between CAM International and Bridgestone Europe in achieving this goal.  Dealers’ initial data entry is now automatically mapped into Siebel saving them keying in time and administrative expense.  We’ve built a successful framework for all future commercial transactions completed for Bridgestone and we’re delighted with this achievement.”
