Autosupplies to support Tuffnells’ Mad Max-themed charity rally entry

Autosupplies has agreed to donate the materials required to help the team create a replica car from the original Mad Max film

Chesterfield-based motor factor, Autosupplies, has announced it will again be supporting Tuffnells Parcels Express, who is driving in a Mad Max themed car to raise money for Bluebell Wood children’s hospice, in the Fireball Rally across Europe.

The motor factor is a keen supporter of charity events and provided paints and primers to Tuffnells when they participated in 2014’s Fireball Rally as The Dukes of Hazzard, and as the parcel carrier will be taking part in 2016’s event, Autosupplies will once again be supplying materials for the Hyundai Coupe’s paintwork.

Autosupplies is donating all the materials required to help the team create a replica car from the original Mad Max films and get into character.

The Mad Max team will drive through seven countries in seven days, starting in Sheffield, driving towards Dover, heading through Monaco in France, and then on to Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and back home. A blog will be available for anyone wishing to follow the team along the journey.

Bluebell Wood is a children’s hospice based in North Anston, Sheffield, providing essential care for young adults and children with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. Its main purpose is to provide a place for the children to relax and have fun with their families, while also offering respite, day care, support in the community, 24hour urgent response and end of life treatment and care.

Autosupplies managing director, David Clarke, said: “We’re delighted to be able to get involved in such an enjoyable and worthy cause. As Tuffnells is funding the entire trip – allowing all donations to go directly to Bluebell Wood – it is a pleasure to support them where possible and we’re looking forward to seeing the finished result.”
