Second recall for Zafira B vehicles

On 19 May 2016, Vauxhall announced a second recall on Vauxhall Zafira B models. Owners would be invited to bring their vehicles back to Vauxhall dealerships so that preventative action could be carried out to protect the vehicles from the risk of fire.

Aspray24 renews Michelin solutions contract

Aspray24 has renewed its Effitires contract with Michelin solutions, trusting the comprehensive tyre management programme to “help deliver on the promise our name suggests” – faultless, next-day delivery. The price-per-kilometre deal covers 100 per cent of the company’s 363-strong all-DAF truck fleet which is in operation around the clock, delivering cargoes of all shapes and sizes from its 14 depots nationwide.

Bridgestone to acquire Speedy France retail network

Bridgestone has announced its plan to acquire 100 per cent of the car service and tyre retail network Speedy France. The manufacturer intends to use the new acquisition to increase its direct access to end-users in France, one of its core European markets, as well as in other markets where Speedy has a presence. The finalisation of the acquisition is subject to approval by the regulatory authorities; once approved, and the transaction is completed, Bridgestone’s French presence will be expanded to more than 800 retail outlets, contributing strongly to its accelerated growth strategy.
