Hankook Tire confirms location of new US headquarters

Later this year, Hankook Tire’s North American headquarters will relocate from New Jersey to Nashville, Tennessee. Hankook Tire America Corp announced that an investment of approximately US$5 million will go into setting up its new headquarters there, adding that the project will create up to 200 jobs in the local area.

“I am delighted to announce that Hankook Tire will move our American headquarters to Nashville later this year,” said Seung Hwa Suh, Hankook Tire vice-chairman and chief executive officer. “We believe by relocating our headquarters to Nashville, Hankook Tire can benefit from the people, resources and infrastructures of Tennessee, and we hope it will provide job opportunities and contribute to the Tennessee economy.”

Hankook is currently looking for space for its headquarters in downtown Nashville. The move brings the company much closer to its new manufacturing facility, which is currently being built some 50 miles away in Clarksville. The plant is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
