Just Easy Tools returns to Essen with new products

Some of Just Easy Tool’s products in action

Two years ago Just Easy Tools – a Danish manufacturer and inventor of tyre manipulators and wheel service Equipment – introduced a special three-point gripping mechanism for safe and effective tyre handling during Reifen 2014. The company returns for the 2016 show and gave Tyres & Accessories this interview with Just Easy Tools CEO, Lars Jorgensen.

Tyres & Accessories: Why did you decided to work in the tyre industry?

Lars Jorgensen: It was co-incidence. I was contacted by an experienced tyre man, who in co-operation with an engineering company developed the first version of Easy Stacker and Easy Gripper.

They needed a partner to realize final development, the manufacturing and marketing of these interesting tools for tyre business.

T&A: Do you think your three-point gripping mechanism will change the way companies service heavy wheels today?

LJ: When we started we noticed that safety is a big issue for tyre companies especially, in the mining industry where it is risky to manipulate heavy wheels and tyres. There are new and more strict regulations coming up every year. We wanted a product that improves safety in working environment. This is one of the main reasons behind our invention of the three-point grip.

Our product range of Easy Grippers with the three-point grip has a number of advantages comparing to two-point grip clamps.

Work with them is more precise. It offers better wheel positioning. This is very important because it is not easy to adjust a wheel manipulator on a wheel. It also gives operators better control when manipulating tyres around. So “yes”, I think the three-point grip will change the way how companies service heavy wheels today.

T&A: What are the best advantages of the three-point tyre grip?

LJ: As I mentioned before; improved safety, better control and positioning, no deformation of the tyres and good control of operation and view because of the blue-tooth camera placed in the centre of the attachment.

T&A: Where do you see the biggest benefits of your tools for tyre business?

LJ: Our Easy Stacker 1200 can provide real valuable benefits for all companies handling truck tyres; casing companies, retreaders, tyre manufacturers, tyre wholesalers and logistics companies. All working procedures such as stacking, loading, unloading, internal transportation and handling of tyres in stock systems. This goes for all tyres with a diameter up to 1200 mm.

Our range of Easy Grippers can provide all the same benefits for bigger tyres. They are also used as valuable tools for mounting and demounting wheels. In the entire agro business from assembling lines of tractors and combines to shipping departments to dealers and farmers and workshops, and also for tyre service at harbour cranes and in the mining industry.

T&A:  You manufacture your products in Europe. Do you products manufactured in Europe are better quality than products manufactured in other regions?

LJ: In my opinion, good quality can be made everywhere. It is mainly a question of strategy. If you want a low-cost product or a good quality depends on your customers. Our customers are very demanding. They need solid quality so in order to be in full control of our manufacturing process, quality and customer service, we have decided to keep the production here in Denmark. We can react immediately without any problems with communication or shipping time etc.

T&A: Who are some of the interesting customers you have gained?

LJ: Currently, we have Easy Grippers and Easy Stackers in operation on all continents; from small farmers and retreaders to the biggest agro manufacturers and tyre manufacturers and tyre service companies.

I don’t like to highlight one or another. I would rather mention that with our new mining Easy Gripper range we offer tyre handlers with lifting capacity from 1 to 11 tons.

T&A: Recently, we learned that you are testing new product in Sweden? Your export manager Petr Junek told us that you are developing tyre handlers for mining industry. Can you reveal some further information?

LJ: Yes, this is true. We are just testing a new design of tyre handlers for the biggest tyres in the world. We will also develop solution for handling giant rims and rings, and again we will work hard to improve effectivity and safety.

It is dangerous work which takes place in very tough environment. We believe that workers and mining companies deserve the best possible tools to safe their employees from serious injuries.

The other interesting thing is we are looking into possibility to improve tools for tyre service in underground mining.

T&A: Where can we see you and your products?

LJ: We will visit the forthcoming Reifen 2016 in Essen, Germany where we will present the Easy Gripper 2160, Easy Stacker 1200 and our smaller tools.
