Automechanika Birmingham exhibitor space sells out

Exhibitor space at the inaugural Automechanika Birmingham exhibition, which will take place at the NEC 7 to 9 June 2016, has already sold out five months prior to launch. More than 550 UK and international businesses are set to attend.

The companies represented at this important new UK event are split between the automotive aftermarket and supply chain with the likes of Schaeffler, TRW, Unipart, Yokohama HPT Ltd and Total UK just some of the well-known names confirmed to take part. The exhibition, originally planned for a single hall, will now occupy 21,000 square metres of venue space across three halls.

“We are certainly on track to become the most successful automotive trade show in the UK”, said Automechanika Birmingham event director Simon Albert. “The response to the launch proves the need for an automotive event of this type in the UK. It is destined to become the key home for both supply chain and aftermarket companies and visitors which no other event has been able to offer.”

Organiser Messe Frankfurt says it has instigated a full seminar programme for visitors, the details of which will be announced shortly. The exhibition is being held in association with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), which will provide an added draw to visitors by hosting its own popular flagship events: Meet the Buyer and Open Forum at the show.

Automechanika Birmingham has been designed to support the UK automotive industry, which according to SMMT data is enjoying continued success with all-time high of 2.63 million new cars registered this year and new vehicle production set to hit record levels by 2020. Potential visitors can register for free entry to the show and obtain further information at www.automechanika-birmingham.com.
