JK Tyre production affected by Chennai flooding

Following Apollo’s admission that flooding in Chennai had affected its tyre factory, JK Tyres has reportedly experienced disruption to eight of its shifts. This equated to roughly 700 tons of tyres, according to the local Business Standard newspaper.

“There is no damage to the plant and machinery. However, partial damage has been caused to compound wall, internal roads and fencing. The damages caused by natural calamity are adequately covered under the insurance policy of the company,” JK Tyres said.
