Yokohama returns to Macau for 33rd year

A scene from last year's F3 race in Macau

This year the Macau Grand Prix is taking place for the 62nd time, and for more than half its history Yokohama Rubber has served as exclusive tyre supplier for the Formula 3 race held during the event. The company heads to the Chinese administrative territory as exclusive supplier to the F3 race for the 33rd consecutive year in 2015.

The Macau Grand Prix is run on public roads in the city centre. Yokohama began supplying control tyres for the race in 1983, when F3 vehicles meeting international regulations were adopted. Because the race is held on public roadways, participating cars require tyres that provide high performance on surfaces and conditions typical of normal driving conditions, which are quite different from those found on circuit racetracks.

The 3 race is the main event of the Macau Grand Prix, which takes place between 19 and 22 November 2015.
