Specialist engine parts supplier GT Automotive is targeting unprecedented growth in the automotive aftermarket in 2016, following a period of investment in the business. The company, a specialist in the supply of camshaft kits and crankshaft pulleys, has been involved in the design and manufacture of products for more than 35 years. Now, as GT Automotive looks to expand its product ranges and increase its brand awareness, it is targeting parts distributors and engine re-conditioners in the independent automotive aftermarket.
With forecourt crime costing the economy an estimated £40million a year, petrol retailers across England and Wales have been threatened by police authorities refusing to investigate ‘drive-offs’* and other forecourt crimes if budget cuts were implemented.

Across the 32 countries where LeasePlan operates, its worldwide fleet has recently surpassed the 1.5 million mark compared to 1.3 million vehicles in 2010. This is an 8 per cent year on year increase in the number of vehicles under LeasePlan management, which numbered 1.40 million at end-September 2014.

Marangoni S.p.A. has provided additional details about the recently-announced commercial vehicle tyre retreading joint venture it has commenced with Indian rubber recycling company GRP Ltd. According to the Italian retreading specialist, the aim of the joint venture is to “establish a pan-Indian network of tyre retreaders able to spread the quality of the Marangoni system to commercial vehicle fleets.”
