Bridgestone Europe’s senior manager, automated inspection and systems development commercial product, Neil Purves, recently called for the tyre industry to engage with e-jobsheet, the open digital tablet platform, as a way of securing efficiencies, receiving data more quickly and maximising support for customers. His advocacy for the system came at the recent CAM UniSerV User Group 3 meeting held in Birmingham ahead of the NTDA awards dinner on 1 October 2015.

Purves said the new multi-language, digital tablet-driven work exchange for truck, bus and van tyres is a key part of Bridgestone Europe’s future strategy combined with its Fleet Solutions Systems programme: “e-jobsheet is like a postal service, it is not a competitive advantage to use it but enables us to supply services that are, while bringing efficiencies to the dealer. It’s an open platform and everyone is welcome to participate. Rules, policies and approval by the fleet to closure and ultimately payment is all facilitated through the TiDaeX (tyre data exchange) platform. The focus is on simplicity to use and speed to process, with faster, more accurate input of data. The result is more efficient jobsheet processes down to billing/payment. I would urge others to embrace it.”

Steve Daly, director of CAM International, added: “Our aims are to create a platform where service providers for truck, bus and van can connect, share, control and analyse data with the ultimate objective of winning and retaining contracts to grow their businesses firmly through the agency of a more connected experience with their customers.”
