Dickies providing clothing range for warmer winter work

The Dickies Trapper

Workwear brand Dickies has introduced new products designed for warmer working in winter. The range includes thermal clothing for exceptionally cold days or when working in freezing weather conditions. Dickies states that its products are tested in the harshest environments to ensure satisfaction and comfort. Its thermals have been worn throughout cold UK winters for many years.

Dickies says its hooded tops, or hoodies, have “become iconic with the more youthful workwear market”. Other products include sweatshirts, fleeces, coats and work jackets; these latter products are manufactured to suit varying levels of cold, wet and wintery working conditions, with lightweight waterproof clothing for those days out in the rain, as well as thick, padded winter work coats to combat the cold.

Among recently-introduced items, the new parka jacket features include a removable hood, removable fur and a tail hem for extra back warmth. Double access lower pockets keep the hands warm when not working and the nylon taslon fabric makes this parka waterproof to 1000mm, durable but also light to wear. Inside the coat there is a Sherpa collar lining to keep the neck warm.

Winter accessories include beanie hats, and the Trapper hat (pictured), which offers more warmth in cold working conditions. The acrylic fur lining provides maximum heat retention and comfort and coverage of the ears from the side flaps. Both hats are also available in hi vis.

Thermal gloves for working outdoors have a thinsulate lining which helps to keep hands warm in winter, while Dickies half finger gloves are a great option for working in cold climates where precision may be required for certain tasks.

Lastly, for footwear, Dickies offers a range of boots with the Medway safety hiker, which is thinsulate insulated and water resistant- ideal for winter. The heel is energy absorbing, easing the punishment of busy feet on rough ground.
