Dunlop is preparing for the 12th race of the year in the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships on 30 August, as the series move to Silverstone. Hankook could be the subject of the first strike action in its history after 86.3 per cent of its union members voted for industrial action, newspaper Korea Joongang Daily reports. The vote, with ballots cast by 4,430 out of 4,700 union members between 21 and 23 August, comes after management proposed an annual wage hike of 1 per cent.

Goodyear Dunlop Tires France has announced the appointment of Camille Mounier as marketing director. She joined the company in March 2015 and is tasked with promoting the company’s flagship Goodyear and Dunlop brands, along with Fulda and Sava, in the French consumer and motorcycle tyre markets. She also oversees public relations communication for these brands and the company’s Vulco retail chain.

US trade publication Tire Review reports that John Kreidel left Tire Factory due to “strategy differences”. A change of date has been announced for the ‘Flex in the City’ seminar jointly organised by the European Tyre Recycling Association (ETRA) and two Italian organisations, ANTEL (the Italian National Association of Local Authority Technicians), and ARGO (the Italian Recyclers Association). Due to “circumstances beyond ETRA’s control,” the seminar will now take place in Treviso, Italy on 22 October rather than 23 October.
