Toyo Tires takes on baseball sponsorship with Boston Red Sox

Toyo is now official tyre of the only Major League Baseball team to feature a pair of socks in its logo

US baseball team the Boston Red Sox has an official tyre, and that tyre is Toyo. Under a multi-year agreement, the tyre maker will be represented on signage at Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox, and holds the right to use the official tyre designation in its marketing.

“We are both excited and proud to join Red Sox Nation,” said Amy Coleman, senior director of marketing, Toyo Tire USA Corp. “This is an incredible opportunity to align Toyo Tires with one of the iconic sports teams in the world, and introduce the brand to their passionate fans. The Boston Red Sox players and fans share our ‘all or nothing’ attitude and we look forward to opening day at Fenway.”

“Toyo Tires’ focus on the quality of its product and commitment to its customers are values we understand and embrace as an organisation,” added Troup Parkinson, senior vice-president/corporate partnerships at the Boston Red Sox. “We are pleased to be able to call them a partner, and look forward to sharing with them what we hope will be an exciting season.”

This latest sponsorship agreement adds to Toyo Tires’ North American engagements – it already is official tyre of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), Tough Mudder, Stadium Super Tracks and National Auto Sport Association, as well as sponsor of the Anaheim Ducks ice hockey team, the Honda Center in Anaheim and the Cadillac Challenge.
