Andrew Page hails best ever quarter

Andrew Page Group has reported a record quarter in 1Q 2015. Following a record-breaking year in 2014, Andrew Page says the firm is continuing to grow its business, with March being the company’s best ever trading month in its 98-year history.

Jim Sumner, chairman commented: “The group’s sales continue to grow at a phenomenal rate, exceeding all expectations. The team should be very proud about what has been achieved and excited about the rest of the year and beyond.”

This was supported by Simon Mullin, sales and marketing director, who has been with the business for over 25 years: “We are simply getting the basics of availability, price and service right in a highly competitive market. Our recent growth has largely been down to the positive attitude of all members of the team, across our nationwide network. The belief that people buy from people is at the core of what we do”.

At the start of 2015, Mark Saunders was appointed to the position of chief executive. Since then the company has seen the expansion of its Markham Vale distribution facility, increasing floor space by nearly 40 per cent with a mezzanine floor, as well as further investments to stock.

“We have also now approved a major investment to upgrade our telephone systems and will be announcing a number of new branch openings imminently,” added Mark Saunders. “Clearly we plan to continue this positive trajectory and, with the continued support of our staff, customers and key supply partners, we cannot see any reason why this cannot be achieved.”
