Klarius delivers 100-plus new part numbers

Klarius has produced ‘more than 100’ new part numbers since the beginning of 2015

Klarius’ R&D department has had a busy start to 2015, with “more than 100” new part numbers to be introduced by the end of March. The new list of parts covers over 170 applications, including new exhaust system components, CATs, DPFs and accessories. Klarius stated that it has responded to customer requests for replacement emission control parts new to the company’s range.

All designs are fully type approved and performance tested before their manufacture. Klarius R&D Centre manager Doug Bentley comments: “Many of the introductions are for newer cars where the exhausts are just starting to reach the end of their operational life, others are for less popular models that are only now showing a demand. We have also included a large range of CATs and DPFs as production has ramped-up for these items.

“We always make sure we produce items for the major groups like VAG, Ford, Toyota, PSA, etc, but also for the oddballs, the rarer and older cars where there is a demand; so, this month we have made items for the rotary engine Mazda RX8, the venerable Porsche 924 (1978 – 85) and the Smart ForFour to name just a few.

“Finally, mounting kits; these are very useful for fitting multi-part exhaust systems and CATs, making sure the fitter has all the right hangers, bolts, clamps and gaskets – much easier than rummaging around the workshop for spares.”

Individual new exhaust products include front, centre and rear boxes for a range of small cars such as the Citroen C3, Nissan Micra and Ford Ka, as well as popular light commercials from Renault and VW. Catalytic converters, DPFs and mounting kits have been introduced for VW, Audi, Citroen, Mini, Ford, Fiat, GM Vauxhall, Toyota, Renault, Skoda, Mazda, Mercedes, BMW, Rover, Nissan, Peugeot and Suzuki.

Klarius develops new emissions systems and components at its UK R&D, manufacturing and stock centre in Cheadle, Cheshire, serving customers across the UK and Europe. Klarius emission control products are manufactured, tested and fully test fitted to real-world vehicles, an R&D feature it claims is particular to Klarius alone. The manufacturer offers a ‘Fit First Time’ guarantee.

Klarius adds that it currently holds more than 10,000 part references, currently live on the Klarius electronic catalogue and various sourcing platforms such as TecDoc, at its Cheadle warehouse.
