Toyo Tire rings in the New Year with management, organisational changes

As of 1 January, several alterations have occurred amongst Toyo Tire & Rubber’s senior management and corporate organisation.

Company president Takuji Yamamoto has added the role of general manager of the company’s North American Business Unit and Tire Business Group Headquarters to his current duties. He replaces James L. Hawk in these two positions. Hawk has also stepped down as president of Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc., and has been replaced in this function by Don Bunn, who was previously senior director of Technical Services at Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc. James Hawk remains chairman of Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc. and president of Toyo Tire North America OE Sales LLC.

A further personnel change that took effect 1 January 2015 is the appointment of Hisanari Takai as general manager of Toyo Tire & Rubber’s DT Planning and Administration Department and DT Business Group Headquarters. Takai was formerly general manager of the DT Strategic Planning Department and Corporate Planning Division, however as of the start of the year the DT Strategic Planning Department has been dissolved and newly established under DT Business Group Headquarters. The former department’s strategic planning function has been transferred to the DT Planning and Administration Department. The business management function of the DT business administration group within the DT Business Group Headquarters has also been transferred to the DT Planning and Administration Department.
