Manbat now supplying additions to Varta range

In September 2014, Varta announced two new developments, and Manbat reports these are now available in the UK through the network of branches it supplies. The first new arrivals are the EFB and AGM batteries launched at the Automechanika show, and the second, although less relevant to the automotive sector, is the Promotive EFB heavy-duty battery.

Varta’s existing ‘Dynamic trio’ offering (Black, Blue and Silver), has been complemented by batteries containing AGM and EFB technologies:

The Varta Silver Dynamic AGM battery is manufactured in Germany and provides strong starting power, faster conductivity and three times the level of endurance of its conventional counterpart. Manbat says it is the natural choice for vehicles incorporating advanced Start-Stop technology with regenerative braking.

The Varta Blue Dynamic EFB battery is characterised by twice the level of endurance of a conventional lead-acid battery and is described by Manbat as the ideal solution for entry-level vehicles fitted with a Start-Stop system.

Manbat says both the AGM and EFB batteries come with superb cyclic performance (charge, discharge, charges) and provide workshops and their customers with the very best when it comes to reliability and starting power. Furthermore, Varta has invested in the manufacturing process for these models and both are now manufactured using 20 per cent less energy.

Commenting on the range additions, Manbat’s marketing manager, Myles Pemberton said: “When it comes to the new automotive batteries, it is great to be able to offer factors and their workshop customers the very best, for those solutions where nothing else will do and for the growing demand for a quality Start-Stop battery replacement. In addition their high quality made in Europe and eco-friendly credentials set them apart.”
