Pirelli announces German market management change

Reimund Wolfmüller (right) is leaving Pirelli at the end of the year; Andreas Penkert will take over his role in the short term

The sales manager of Pirelli’s ‘Car’ wholesale channel in the German market, Reimund Wolfmüller, is leaving the company as of 31 December 2014, reports Pirelli Deutschland GmbH. The company’s intention is to appoint a successor before the end of the year to ensure a smooth changeover. During the transition period, Pirelli Deutschland sales and marketing manager Andreas Penkert will be responsible for the Car sales channel.

Reimund Wolfmüller joined Pirelli as a sales area manager in 1994 before taking on responsibility for all relevant independent retailers as key account manager in 1999 and then leadership of the wholesale team in 2002. “We greatly regret Mr. Wolfmüller’s decision,” comments Andreas Penkert. “He has decisively and successfully shaped the course of the company in a number of areas during the course of his career with Pirelli Deutschland GmbH. For this we are thankful to him and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
