Don’t miss 5 November awards nomination deadline, says TyreSafe

2013 award recipients

Remember, remember the fifth of November…TyreSafe has issued a reminder to tyre retailers, manufacturers, car companies and other organisations with an involvement in tyre safety to submit their entries into this year’s TyreSafe awards ahead of the 5 November deadline.

This year, entries are invited for seven different categories. These categories cover the main types of organisations that support the group’s activities, including tyre and car manufacturers, emergency services as well as community groups, local councils and road safety partnerships. “There have been some fantastic tyre safety initiatives carried out by our supporters throughout the year and the awards ceremony is a great way to celebrate these achievements,” comments TyreSafe chairman Stuart Jackson. “With more people than ever before taking part in Tyre Safety Month, we expect the standard of entries to be very high, but the only way to guarantee your place in the running is to submit your entry before the deadline.”

In addition to the seven open categories, TyreSafe will also present its outstanding achievement award, awarded to the Highways Agency in 2013, to the organisation demonstrating the most exceptional contribution to raising awareness about the dangers associated with illegal and defective tyres.

The awards ceremony will take place on 28 November at St Johns Hotel, Solihull. For more details or to download an entry form, visit www.tyresafe.org.
