Apollo Alnac 4G Winter tyre launched

Apollo introduced new winter and all-season products in its Alnac range at Reifen 2014, with a full launch reported in Tyres & Accessories’ July issue. The Alnac 4G All Season and Alnac 4G Winter tyres were developed in its Global R&D Centre in the Netherlands, optimised for the European road network.

The Apollo Alnac 4G Winter has a combination of straight sipes in the central part of the tread and flattened sinus sipes on the shoulders to increase winter handling. The tread includes a handy tool for drivers — the Apollo Winter Tyre Wear Indicator. When the indicator changes its shape from a snowflake to a sun, it means the tread has worn to 4mm. Rated T and H in a range of sizes, the tyre is suitable for speeds of up to 210km/h.

The Apollo Alnac 4G All Season has an asymmetrical outer longitudinal groove for improved stability, while the optimised stitch pattern of the shoulder blocks reduces noise. The variable groove depth contributes to an even wear pattern and a longer tyre lifespan too. The All Season tyre is available in H and V ratings, making it suitable for speeds of up to 240 km/h.
