Treadsetters continue to be busy in Essen

As a long standing exhibitor, UK based international tyre wholesaler Treadsetters – part of the TIA Group were joined at this year’s event by German partners TIA GmbH with the specific objective of showcasing the group’s increasingly successful Torque brand.

In recent years the plans has been to establish Torque as a leading option in the truck sector, offering an impressive combination of performance, precision and power for mid to long distance journeys on regional and urban roads. With this in mind, Treadsetters used the show to display patterns and sizes in the PCR, UHP, 4×4/SUV and light commercial sectors.

To this end a selection of Torque tyres were prominently displayed with significant emphasis being placed on the new 4×4/SUV collection which was making its debut in Europe with 15 initial size options. It also announced that additional off-road sizes will be launched for an all-new Torque winter pattern in due course.

A team of personnel from both Treadsetters and TIA GmbH were ready to discuss increased Torque range, with TIA Group chairman Peter Smith pointing out that Reifen 2014 has proved to be a very successful show for the company with over 500 established customers visiting the stand. He added:

“Treadsetters is currently experiencing a very busy period going forward with our Torque brand and the interest in the range on a global basis has been phenomenal, which is a word I do not use very often.

Choosing the best partners for different areas

“Such has been the continual enthusiasm for Torque at the show that we have customers actually competing against each other to distribute the brand in designated areas. So Treadsetters now has the pleasant task of choosing its best partners for the future. Treadsetters is very much a family orientated company and we look after our appointed dealers in the same relaxed manner. Torque becomes ‘their’ brand and therefore they have the responsibility to build and protect the range.”
