Dickies sponsors Motorsport Rescue Unit

Dickies Raf Rescue workwear supply Dickies is supplying Raf Rescue with its Grafter Duo Tone 210 coveralls, trousers and jackets

Workwear brand Dickies has donated essential clothing to the Raf Rescue Unit, a motorsport rescue charity. Raf Rescue was founded in 1982 and attends major UK motorsport events like the Pageant of Power and Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Licenced by the Motorsport Association of Great Britain, the unpaid crew are medical and fire worker volunteers. The unit carries a comprehensive amount of medical equipment, together with tools specifically designed to assist in removing a trapped driver from his vehicle. They were the second unit on site at the recent crash in the Jim Clark Rally in Scotland, where three people lost their lives.

Dickies have donated Dickies Grafter Duo Tone 210 coveralls, trousers and jackets. As the name suggests the Grafter Trousers are one of the toughest money can buy and incorporate high performance nylon based Cordura fabric, which is extremely resistant to tearing, scuffing and abrasion, providing top performance in all aspects of work.

Dave Lalley, one of the Raf Rescue crew volunteers said: “Having the right equipment is essential to carry out the rescues but we are also need hard wearing clothing which is practical for our work. We cover the drivers and Dickies cover us, literally. We are extremely grateful to Dickies for supporting us, by supplying the high quality coverall, trousers and jackets.”

Maurice Morton, sales & marketing director at Dickies enthused: “We are proud to be helping the motorsport rescue unit, who play a vital role in ensuring motor sport events happen and are run safely.”
