Renault Retail Group to offer online tyre purchasing

The Renault Retail Group has extended its online aftersales service, mandating online tyre purchasing across its 19 outlets. The national network’s implementation of online tyre retail facilities, including fitment appointment bookings, shows the growing importance of digital sales within the automotive retail sector. Renault Retail calls the move part of “an ongoing strategy to improve customer experience through the digital interface.”

Mark Fellows, Group aftersales manager at Renault Retail, commented: “We are committed to delivering both a comprehensive service offering and a quality experience to ensure that our customers come back to us, and that our business continues to thrive.

“With the increasing prevalence of fast-fit centres and online booking facilities, we needed to develop our online aftersales offering to ensure that our customers were aware that our franchised retailers can offer these same services.” Fellows added.

The new online facility sits alongside online service and MOT booking, as part of a comprehensive aftersales solution that offers enhanced usability and convenience.

The Renault Retail Group is a national network of 19 automotive dealerships, 100 per cent owned by the French car manufacturer, which is responsible for the sale of one in every four Renaults in the UK. It was established in 1996, after which it has sold more than 350,000 vehicles in the UK. The Group has an annual turnover of £600m and a team of 1,000 full-time employees.
