Massa distributing Aeolus PCR range in France

France’s Groupe Massa (MPSA) has been appointed the sole national importer for the Aeolus consumer tyre range. The company began supplying Aeolus products to the French market at the start of February and has accompanied its new distribution with an advertising campaign.

“In the MPSA Corporation we have now found an excellent partner for the French market,” wrote MPSA general director Cédric Massa and Aeolus general manager for Western Europe in a joint statement. “Our co-operation with this company, which is proving to be both innovative and true to its principles and values, will help us to achieve joint success – that much is certain.”

“We are enthusiastic about the idea of entering into a close cooperation with a partner such as Aeolus, a company which shares our long term view and strategy for the market,” added MPSA import manager Olivier Cavagna.

The Aeolus passenger car tyre range was introduced into Europe in May 2013 and was initially sold through national distributors in a handful of countries, including Italy’s Intergomma and wholesalers in Spain and Poland. Aeolus Tyre has since added several other markets to this list. In September 2013, it named Reifen Straub general importer of the car tyre range for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and as of January 2014 this role has been performed in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland) by Kings Road Tyres; in January 2014, the wholesaler’s sole distribution of the Aeolus truck and off-road ranges was extended to also cover the Aeolus passenger car tyre line-up. At the time, KRT purchasing and marketing manager Tim Bader said taking on the Aeolus consumer range “is a significant strategic development for us and marks a major re-launch of our product offer in the consumer sector.”

Currently the Aeolus car tyre range includes three summer products (SteeringAce, PrecisionAce and GreenAce), two winter tyres (SnowAce AW02 and AW03), plus a SUV (CrossAce) and van (TransAce) range. Aeolus intends to introduce an all-season range this year and also plans to further extend the portfolio to include tyres for the Nordic countries.
