CAM Online Tyre Catalogue breaks 100,000 article mark

Over 100,000 articles across 205 brands are now under management in CAM’s Online Tyre Catalogue (OTC), facilitating the entry of many overseas manufacturers and importers into the UK. According to the company, the common tyre platform is helping companies outside Europe find agents and distribution outlets as a result.

CAM has invested substantial effort and budget engaging with tyre manufacturers at worldwide trade events discussing the role of the OTC and the benefits of making product data available to it, including new and amended tyres, tyre labels, amendments to article numbers, changes within categories and the movement of tyres from active to non-active statuses.

OTC enables tyre wholesalers and retailers to enhance their product data and stock management function and help deliver additional accuracy to their sales processes for the benefit of their customers, both trade and consumer. It allows subscribers to view their stock profile in a highly informed and effective way which helps when receiving orders from customers and placing orders on suppliers, bringing inaccuracies within the supply chain to a minimum.
