Uniwheels appoints new CFO, posts preliminary 2013 results

As of 10 February, Dr. Karsten Obenaus is the new CFO of alloy wheel manufacturer Uniwheels. Previously head of financial accounting, Dr. Obenaus has long held senior positions within Uniwheels’ finance department. He succeeds Eckehard Forberich, who has left the company. Forberich held the role of CFO since 1 July 2011.

Uniwheels Holding (Germany) GmbH has also released its preliminary figures for 2013 ahead of next month’s publication of its definitive annual financial statements for the past financial year. The company says it expects to post significant year-on-year earnings growth for 2013. The Uniwheels Group boosted its turnover by 7.9 per cent to almost seven million units in 2013 (6.4 million in 2012). The preliminary figures give group consolidated sales as €338 million, equivalent to year-on-year growth of 5.8 per cent (€320 million in 2012).

“We expect to report substantially better earnings for the 2013 financial year. In combination with the positive development in other key financials, this confirms our strategy. We have seen strong demand from vehicle manufacturers in the OEM business and will consistently maintain our growth course in the current year as well”, commented Ralf Schmid, CEO of Uniwheels.
