TGI announces trio of sales team appointments

Florida, US-based wholesaler Tire Group International has announced two new appointments within its international sales team and one in its domestic sales team.

The wholesaler’s international team welcomes Nelson Garces and Luis Betancur. Garces has been appointed to the position of manager within the off-highway division and will lead TGI’s OTR sales initiatives throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and brings over ten years of OTR experience, including with the Michelin brand throughout the region. Luis Betancur joins TGI as a territory manager and will lead the wholesaler’s sales efforts for Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay. Betancur holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and over 19 years of tyre industry experience.

Perry May joins TGI’s domestic sales team in the capacity of manager for the off-highway division. His duties include spearheading TGI’s Astro Solid line launch for the North America market. May brings over 37 years of tyre industry experience to his new role, having previously worked as vice-president of sales for various manufacturers throughout the US, Canada and Mexico.

TGI says the three additions have enabled the company to start 2014 with “a significant amount of momentum” and that the trio have already made an impact upon the TGI team. “Our team is getting bigger, better and stronger,” commented Joaquin Gonzalez Jr., chief marketing officer of Tire Group International.
