Rising demand for mobile fitting – ATS Euromaster

340 of ATS Euromaster's 900-strong fleet now specialise in retail mobile tyre fitting

ATS Euromaster has introduced a £1 mobile tyre fitting service on the back of increased demand. The tyre specialist says that longer working hours during the week are a contributing factor to drivers putting off fitting new tyres, making the option of booking a tyre change at the office an attractive proposition. ATS-E said that its market research suggests growth in this service is sustainable, as customers often move permanently to the convenience of such a service.

Anita Ellis, online marketing manager for ATS-E, said: “People who work full-time find it hard to fit anything around their working week and weekends are usually the only option. Customers who put off getting new tyres simply due to a lack of time, run the risk of getting fined or causing an accident.

“By offering this service at your workplace or home at an allotted time, our mechanics take the hassle out of a seemingly simple process and ensure your safety and peace of mind for our customers.”

The increased demand for mobile services is largely due to people’s demanding lifestyles. An article published by The Telegraph estimates that professionals in core industries, such as marketing, IT, legal and sales, are working an average of 47.9 hours a week increasing the importance of convenience in service industries.

“The growing demand for this service means that drivers don’t need to venture out to a local centre when their tyres are worn or need replacing due to punctures or damage,” continued Ellis. “An appointment can be made at a time and place that is convenient to the customer during normal opening hours, taking the hassle out of changing tyres for people with busy schedules.”

ATS-E has a fleet of 900 vans, 340 of which specialise in retail mobile tyre fitting. The company has made mobile tyre fittings available between 8:30 and 17:30 (weekdays) and 8:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays.
