KRT bringing new Taurus sizes to LAMMA

Kings Road Tyres, a leading distributor of Michelin, Kleber, Goodyear, Trelleborg, Firestone and Taurus agricultural tyres, has confirmed its presence at next month’s LAMMA 2014 farm machinery and equipment show. The company is exhibiting on Stand B119 during the two-day show at the East of England Showground (near Peterborough) on 22 and 23 January.

Commenting on the company’s involvement, Tim Bader, KRT’s purchasing and marketing manager, says: “LAMMA is the largest farm equipment and machinery show in the country which attracts around 40,000 farmers, contractors and specifiers each year. It’s important for us to be there on the ground representing our extensive ranges of specialist agricultural products to the people who make the tyre buying decisions.”

 New Taurus tractor sizes

KRT is the exclusive UK wholesale distributor of Taurus agricultural tyres; the brand has introduced new 65 series tractor tyre options to the already-comprehensive range produced by the Groupe Michelin manufacturer. The three new products for agricultural radial drive fitments in the Point 65 range are the 480/65R28 and 540/65R28 (currently available) and the 540/65R30, which is due by the end of 2013.

The tyres have been designed to offer farming users greater load capacity and a higher load index, thanks to the reinforced carcass construction. For example, KRT says the new 540/65R28 will deliver 25 per cent more carrying capacity at 50 km/h, compared to earlier comparable products. Other distinctive features of the new sizes include large tire lug surfaces for good soil traction, especially on hilly terrain, plus strong self-cleaning properties.
