BKT launches Constar and Star Trac ranges

In addition to appearances from football freestylers Christopher Noel and Colin Nell and giving away more than 16,000 free footballs, during last month’s Agritechnica show off-road tyre specialist BKT presented two new ranges – the Constar and Star Trac. Both products are scheduled for market release before the end of 2013.

The first of the pair is designed for handling equipment in the agro-industrial sector, such as telescopic handlers and wheel loaders. BKT says the Constar offers a high level of vertical and horizontal stability – an essential requirement for lifting operations. The tyre features large lugs that the contact surface in order to support very heavy loads. The compound used is formulated for resistance to cuts and impacts. The Constar will initially be available in size 400/80 – 24.

The second new product was the Star Trac, the new tyre that is able to support heavy loads and was designed for harvesters working on cotton farms. BKT says the Star Trac’s deep tread design ensures both excellent traction in the fields and excellent performance during road transfers. The tyre maker also claims excellent floatation and reduced soil compaction. Again, the compound used is one that provides resistance against cuts and other damage experienced typical to this application.
