Extra capacity for Bridgestone US plant

Bridgestone Americas has increased daily production at its WarrenCounty truck tyre factory in Tennessee by 900 tyres. Thanks to a US$36.6 million expansion programme, the plant now produces 9,000 medium truck radials per day. Some 45 new jobs were created with the expansion.

“The increase in production will help us with the demand in the market and to meet the needs of customers seeking world-class Bridgestone and Firestone truck and bus tyres,” said Steve Shelton, senior vice president of technology, manufacturing and procurement. “In addition, this investment not only benefits the plant but also the community with which we have an outstanding relationship.”  Tire Review
