Kumho Australia opens first ‘Platinum’ CV dealership

Date: 6th August 2013 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Since its debut almost two years ago, some 30 passenger car tyre dealers have joined Kumho Tyres Australia’s ‘Platinum’ dealer programme. The tyre maker has now extended the scheme to the commercial vehicle tyre market with the opening of its first Kumho Komplete Platinum dealer – Bernie’s Tyres in Rockhampton.

Bernie’s Tyres is one of 80 Kumho Komplete dealers around Australia and according to Kumho national trade manager Glenn Pearse, launching the first Kumho Komplete Platinum dealer is a milestone for the Platinum dealer programme. “The Platinum dealer programme has expanded rapidly since its launch in October 2011 and the opening of a Kumho Komplete Platinum commercial vehicle tyre dealer is further affirmation of its success,” he said.

The Platinum dealer programme was first launched to showcase Kumho’s line of passenger, 4×4 and SUV tyres in modern facilities that offer the highest level of customer service. “Commercial vehicle customers demand the same levels of service as everyday motorists but also require specialist technicians who understand the individual needs of trucks and buses,” Pearse added.

Bernie Trathen, owner of Bernie’s Tyres, states he is proud to be the first Kumho Komplete Platinum dealer in Australia. “Kumho offers a quality range of truck and bus tyres which our customers have come to trust and depend on, so becoming a Platinum Kumho Komplete dealer is a real compliment to my team and I.”
