Bridgestone appoints new North American head of commercial marketing
Bridgestone Americas subsidiary Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations reports that its commercial tyre division has a new vice-president of marketing. As of 1 March this position has been occupied by Matthew Stevenson, who joins the company from Meritor, Inc., where he served as general manager of North American Field Operations and Marketing. Prior to beginning his role with Meritor in 2010, Stevenson spent ten years at Daimler Trucks North America, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility in both sales and marketing.
“Matthew brings extensive experience building strong relationships with customers in the commercial vehicle industry,” said Philip Dobbs, CMO for Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations-North America. “I am excited to have him on board to help us elevate awareness of the needs of our customers, and help us in meeting those needs. He will be a valuable addition to our team.”
Stevenson earned a bachelor’s degree in management from GMI Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University) and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
