Continental upgrades Innoware online price analysis software
In 2011 Continental engaged with Innoware, a software and web applications firm, to develop a bespoke online competitor-analysis pricing tool. The aim was to automate reporting across the UK, mainland Europe and South Africa. According to the company, pre-set reports and complex calculations are created in seconds for all key retail outlets, providing views at local, regional, and country level.
500,000 car tyre prices are currently stored in the system, and key targets around enabling employees to focus on the data output rather than the repetitive manual grind of collating disparate data sets has been achieved.
As a result of the apparent success of the first project, Innoware has been awarded a new contract to upgrade the tool for the truck market, with a scheduled completion date set for January 2013.
