Silent auction winners enjoy Pirelli Monza prize

Date: 13th September 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

The winners of a silent auction enjoyed a trip to the Formula One in Monza last weekend where the prize winners received paddock passes and hospitality courtesy of Italian tyre firm Pirelli. The auction was held in July at Evolution in Battersea as part of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity’s annual Formula One party. Pirelli donated two paddock passes to the individual who placed the highest bid on the night.

London’s JM Littman was the highest bidder: “We had the most amazing weekend and I cannot thank Pirelli enough for organising everything. From the hotel, the driver, paddock team and Pirelli staff, we could not have been treated any better. We even got invited into the Caterham F1 garage as I used to race for Caterham Cars. It was even more special for my girlfriend as it was her birthday over the weekend, and she’s now been successfully converted to Formula One.”

Pirelli UK PR manager Sarah Brown commented: “I’m delighted to hear that our prize winners had such a terrific time at Monza. We strive to support Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity as much as possible throughout the year and we are pleased to be able to raise money for such a worthy cause whilst also providing two individuals with a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
